Home health care nurse Misty Nola, R.N., agrees. “It is a privilege to be able to take care of patients in their homes—to assist in their recovery, and to help them regain their independence,” she says.
As a community health nurse, Misty spends her workday traveling to patients’ homes to provide skilled nursing services, such as:
- Disease management and teaching
- Care after an illness, injury, hospital or rehabilitation stay
- Medication management and teaching
- Wound care
- Care coordination

Misty works under the direction of each patient’s personal physician and collaborates with medical professionals involved in her patients’ care.
