Visitation Guidelines

Updated 3/14/22

Below is important information about your visit to Weinberg Campus, including rules from the Department of Health that we must follow together. We follow local health department guidance in the event of any positive cases of COVID-19. Thank you for your help and support to keep you, your loved one, and our employees healthy.

Visitation guidelines have been updated by the Department of Health. There is no longer a limit of 2 visitors at a time. We do ask that you continue to social distance and wear masks when visiting. If you would like to request visitation outside our established visiting hours please leave a message on the Case Manager phone, 716-639-3311 ext. 2505, and we will arrange for you. Visits in the common areas are still not available.

We ask that you please adhere to our visitation guidelines. Please stay home if:

  • You have been exposed or suspect exposure to Covid
  • You are showing any signs or symptoms of illness

————————————————————————————————————————————–

  • NEW: You may visit at any time. No appointments are necessary.
  • If your loved one is currently on a 14-day quarantine, they are eligible for in-person visitation. We do not recommend visitation, but will provide guidance to visitors if they still choose to visit their loved ones.
  • All visitors will be screened for COVID-19. This will include a temperature check and you will be asked questions about potential exposure to the virus and recent travel. If you have signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have had close contact with someone with COVID-19 infection in the prior 14 days (regardless of your vaccination status), you will not be allowed to visit.
  • Sanitize your hands when you arrive and throughout your visit.
  • Wear a face mask covering your nose and mouth at all times.
  • Visits will take place in the resident rooms or outside the front of the campus. Visitors must escort their loved one outside and back to their room at the end of their visit.
  • You are only allowed to travel to and from your loved one’s roomDo not travel anywhere else at any time. Visits will not be held in common areas such as living rooms, kitchenettes, front lobby, or lounges.
  • We ask that the resident not walk the visitors to the front reception desk after the visits.
  • If you would like to take a resident to other parts of the campus, please make special arrangements in advance with the Case Manager.
  • Visitors are not currently permitted to attend activities or go to the dining room with residents.
  • Individuals must maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet. We ask that visitors maintain social distance near nursing and management offices and unless it is an urgent matter, follow up with nursing or managers with a phone call or email during this time.

  • For residents living in a semi-private room, visitors are not allowed to enter the living space of the roommate or the shared bathroom.
  • Visitors under age 16 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older.

If you visit a loved one in a different facility (i.e. Forest Creek, etc.) and then want to visit a loved one in Dosberg Manor, please go back to the reception desk to be screened and submit information about your loved one before visiting them at Dosberg. This will ensure we have all screening information for all individual visits in our records.

If you would like to bring a pet with you on your visit, the pet must be on a leash and Trisha Williams, Weinberg Campus Director of Activities and Events must have their shot records in advance of the visit. The pet’s shot records can be emailed to twilliams@weinbergcampus.org or dropped at the front desk.

Safety Measures

  • Dosberg Manor is taking every step recommended by authorities to protect residents and employees. We are monitoring updated guidance and immediately implement new protocols suggested by local and state public health officials and the CDC.
  • Residents who are positive or under investigation for COVID-19 are in quarantine to minimize the chance for the virus to spread. Staff members interacting with these residents are using recommended precautions to protect the residents and themselves from spreading the virus, including the use of additional personal protective equipment. Compassionate care visits can be arranged at any time by contacting the Case Manager.
  • All residents are screened for fevers once daily and monitored for signs and symptoms for the virus on every shift.
  • All employees are screened daily. This includes taking their temperature and asking screening questions. If employees are ill they are required to stay home. Employees wear masks at all times.
  • Science-based, comprehensive disinfection practices include a pulsed UV disinfection system proven to eliminate pathogens such as coronavirus from surfaces in seconds. This cutting-edge technology is used in many hospitals. We also practice a 7-step disinfection process that follows CDC infection control guidance using hospital-grade disinfectants.
  • Face masks are provided to residents when they are in common areas, and residents also practice social distancing by staying a minimum of 6 feet away from others.
